The answer from God’s word:
“Let’s not make comparison first. Let’s see how the Holy Spirit works and check according to the truth whether the way we are walking is the work of the Holy Spirit and verify according to the work of the Holy Spirit whether the way we are walking is right. As to which word has not been fulfilled and which has been fulfilled, let us men not interfere. We’d better talk about the work the Holy Spirit does and talk about God’s newest work of today. The Bible is God’s words conveyed by the prophets and the words written by the men used by God at that time. Only God Godself can interpret those words, and only the Holy Spirit can reveal their meaning. Only God Godself can break the seven seals and open the scroll. You see, you are not God and I am not God. Who dares to interpret God’s words lightly? Do you dare to interpret those words? Even if the prophet Jeremiah, John, or Elijah came, they would not dare to interpret those words, because none of them is the Lamb. Only the Lamb himself can break the seven seals and open the scroll, and apart from him no one can interpret his words.
The end time is only the end time and is only the Age of the Kingdom, and it does not represent the Age of the Grace or the Age of the Law. It is only that in the end time all the works in the six-thousand-year management plan are revealed to you, which means that the mystery has been unlocked. Such a mystery cannot be unlocked by any man. No matter how well people know about the Bible, they only know its letters, because they do not understand its substance. Through reading the Bible, people may understand some truths, interpret some letters, or expound some famous verses and words, but they can never unlock the meaning contained in these letters, because what they see is all dead letters, not the picture of Jehovah’s doing the work or that of Jesus’ doing the work, and they cannot unlock the mystery of these works. So, the mystery of the six-thousand-year management plan is the greatest mystery and is most hidden, which man cannot fathom at all. No one can directly understand God’s will unless he personally explains it and discloses it to man. Otherwise, it would forever be a ‘riddle’ and a sealed mystery to man. Not to mention people in the religious world, even you would not understand it if I did not tell you today. The six-thousand-year work is more mysterious than all the prophecies of the prophets. It is the greatest mystery from the creation of the world until today. Even the prophets throughout the ages could not fathom this mystery, because it is unlocked only in the final age and it has never been unlocked before. If you understand this mystery and can fully comprehend it, all the religious people will be subdued by it. Only this is the greatest vision and is what people most wish to understand but also what they are most unclear about.”
from “The Mystery of Incarnation (4)” in The Word Appears in the Flesh
“At that time, the Jews all read the Old Testament, and they knew that Isaiah had prophesied that a baby boy would be born in a manger. Why did they still persecute Jesus although they clearly knew there was such a prophecy? Wasn’t it all because of their disobedient nature and because they did not know the work of the Holy Spirit? The Pharisees of that time thought that what Jesus did was different from what they knew about the baby boy in the prophecy. And people of today reject God because the incarnated God does not work according to the Bible. Isn’t their substance of disobeying God the same? Can you accept it as long as it is the work of the Holy Spirit? If it is the work of the Holy Spirit, it means that it is the right ‘stream,’ so you should accept it without any misgiving and should not accept it selectively. Isn’t it unnecessary for you to gain some insight from and exercise some caution against God? You should accept a work without looking for more biblical bases as long as it is the work of the Holy Spirit, because in believing in God, you are to follow God, and you should not investigate God. You should not look for more bases for me to prove that I am your God. You should be able to discern whether I am beneficial to you. This is most crucial. Even if you find more conclusive evidence in the Bible, it cannot bring you completely into my presence, and you are only a person living in the Bible but not a person living in my presence. … Although the Bible prophesied that a baby boy would be born, yet because people did not know God’s work, no one could discern in whom that prophecy would be fulfilled. Consequently, those Pharisees all resisted Jesus. Some people know that everything I do is beneficial to man, but they always think that I and Jesus are very different and are completely alien from each other. At that time, Jesus only delivered a series of sermons of the Age of the Grace, such as what his disciples should practice, how they should have meetings, how they should pray and supplicate, and how they should treat others in the Age of the Grace. What he did was the work of the Age of the Grace. He only spoke about what his disciples should practice at that time and what his followers should practice at that time. At that time he only did the work of the Age of the Grace and did not do the work of the end time. In the Age of the Law, Jehovah made the law of the Old Testament. Why did he not do the work of the Age of the Grace? Why did he not speak clearly about all the work of the Age of the Grace ahead of time? Wouldn’t all this be helpful to people’s accepting it? He only prophesied that a baby boy would be born and shoulder the government, but he did not do the work of the Age of the Grace ahead of time. God does the work of each age within very clear boundaries. He only does the work of that age and does not do the work of the next stage ahead of time. Only in this way can his representative work in each age be highlighted. At that time, Jesus only spoke about what the sign of the end time would be and about how people at that time should be patient, how they could be saved, and how they should repent, confess their sins, bear the cross, and endure sufferings, and he did not speak about what people in the end time should enter into and how they should pursue so that they can satisfy God’s heart’s desire. So, if you look for God’s end-time work in the Bible, aren’t you absurd? What can you find out by only holding the Bible? Could anyone, whether a Bible expositor or a preacher, see the work of today clearly beforehand?”

in The Word Appears in the Flesh
“In each stage of work, God does not come to specially fulfill the prophecies of the prophets of old, and he does not come to keep regulations or purposely accomplish the prophecies of the prophets of old. But what he does does not contradict the prophecies of the prophets of old or disturb his former work. The outstanding characteristic of his working is that he does not keep any regulations but does the work he ought to do. He is not a prophet or a foreteller, but a ‘doer,’ practically doing the work he ought to do, opening his new era, and carrying out his new work. Of course, when Jesus came to do the work, it fulfilled many words of the prophets of old in the Old Testament. And the work I do today also fulfills the prophecies of the prophets of old in the Old Testament, only today I do not talk about the ‘old almanac’ with you. This is because there are many more works I have to do and many more words I have to speak to you, and doing these works and speaking these words are much more important than interpreting those verses in the Bible, for that work is not of much significance or value to you and cannot help you or transform you. I will do the new work not for fulfilling any verse in the Bible. If God came to earth to work only for fulfilling the words of the prophets of old in the Bible, do you think the incarnated God is greater or the prophets of old are greater? Do you think the prophets of old direct God or God directs the prophets of old? How should you explain this?”
